Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C fan), grease or line a 20x20 cm square pan
- Mix the preparation with 40 ml vegetable oil, 75 ml water and 1 medium egg (or 80 g melted butter and 2 medium eggs)
- Pour into the pan and smooth the surface
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes: a knife inserted 5 cm from the edge should come out almost clean
- Leave to cool before cutting

How can I tell when it’s done baking?
A knife inserted about 5 cm from the edge should come out almost clean, with a few moist crumbs: the center is meant to remain fudgy.
