Food Markers
Food coloring markers
Food coloring markers and chocolate writing tubes for drawing, writing, and personalizing cookies, fondant, and cake decorations.
Markers or writing tubes
The food coloring markers draw precisely on dry surfaces: figurine faces, outlines on iced cookies, and messages on fondant plaques. Multicolor sets cover common needs.
The chocolate writing tubes (25 g, several colors) create a raised line directly on the cake: names, borders, and designs. They soften for a few seconds in a warm bain-marie before use.
Which surfaces can you write on?
The markers work on dry, smooth surfaces: crusted fondant, hardened royal icing, white chocolate stencils, and wafer paper. On a greasy or damp surface (buttercream, fresh ganache), the ink will not set—use a chocolate writing tube instead.
Frequently asked questions
How long should fondant be left to dry before writing on it?
Allow at least 2 to 3 hours in the open air for the surface to crust over, ideally overnight for a clean, uninterrupted line.
Does the line from a chocolate tube harden?
Yes, it sets at room temperature in about ten minutes and can then be handled without smudging.
A marker dries out quickly—how should I care for it?
Recap it immediately after use and store it flat, with the tip protected.
