The professional cake board for wedding cakes and tiered cakes

The Decora white round cake drum is a sturdy 12 mm base for wedding cakes, tiered cakes and multi-tier cakes. Its white finish covers the top, bottom and sides completely. The multi-layer food-grade cardboard is certified for food contact and comes in 8 diameters from Ø 20 to Ø 50 cm, sold individually.

USAGE TIPS

Choose a drum 5 to 10 cm wider than the cake to leave room for handling and decorating.
For a tiered cake, each intermediate drum should be at least 5 cm wider than the tier above it.
Secure the base with a few dabs of royal icing to prevent it from sliding during transport.
Cover the visible edge with a satin ribbon attached with food-safe double-sided tape, or with a strip of fondant.

How do I choose the right diameter for a tiered wedding cake?

Each drum should be at least 5 cm wider than the tier it supports: for tiers measuring 15, 25, and 35 cm, use drums measuring 20, 30, and 40 cm.

What's the difference compared with a square or rectangular drum?

The same 12 mm thickness and white finish: the shape depends solely on the cake—round for a classic layer cake, square or rectangular for a number cake or an angular cake.

Can the white drum support a very heavy cake?
