Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our advice
How much food coloring is needed for a pastel shade?
A toothpick tip for 500 g of fondant or buttercream is generally enough for a pastel shade; add more gradually for a more intense color.
Is this gel food coloring suitable for chocolate?
No, this gel is formulated for water-based or emulsified fat-based mixtures (fondant, icing, cream). For chocolate, use an oil-based food coloring.
What's the difference compared to Royal Blue coloring?
This Sky Blue uses the same pigment (Brilliant Blue FCF) at a lower concentration, for a pastel shade with the first application.
