The Large Feather Mat reproduces a detailed raised feather design, created to produce a three-dimensional finish once the lace has been removed from the mold. Ideal along the edges of cakes or as a cupcake decoration for a textured, airy effect.

Instructions for use
- Prepare the Cake Lace Mix according to the manufacturer's instructions, then spread it evenly over the mat, including in the hollows between the feather barbs.
- Dry at 80 °C for 12 to 15 minutes, then leave to cool for 5 minutes before carefully removing it from the mold to preserve the raised design.
- Separate the feathers one by one with a fine tip or lace knife for individual placement, especially on cupcakes.
- Combine several feathers from the same mat to cover a wider edge in a gradient.
- Attach to the fondant using a wide-tipped water brush.
Please note: Store the dried lace flat, wrapped in parchment paper and then in aluminum foil, away from light and strong odors. It remains flexible for several months under these conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Does the 3D relief of the feathers withstand removal from the mold?
Yes, if the lace has dried sufficiently (12 to 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of resting): it can then be removed without breaking the fine feather barbs.
Can the feathers be cut out individually?
Yes, once dried, the feathers can be separated one by one from the mat for individual placement, especially on cupcakes.
Is this mat suitable for a large tiered cake?
Yes, several feathers from the same mat can be combined to cover a larger surface, along the edge or in a gradient.
