How do you make glitter stick to a cake?
Sprinkle them onto a surface that is still slightly sticky: fresh buttercream, unset icing or wet royal icing. On a dry surface, a light coating of neutral glaze or syrup applied with a brush is enough to make them stick.
Can they be placed on whipped cream well in advance?
They are made from corn starch: prolonged exposure to moisture makes them soften and lose their sparkle. On whipped cream or chantilly, add them at the last moment before serving.
Do Azuglow Sparkle glitter contain allergens?
No, the manufacturer declares the product allergen-free. However, the colorants used mean it must carry the regulatory warning regarding children.
