Concentrated violet coloring for fondant, icing and buttercream
Wilton Violet Gel Food Coloring lets you precisely adjust the color intensity, from a pastel shade to a deep tone, without watering down the mixture. Its balance of red and blue creates a violet that is neither too blue nor too pink, and can easily be adjusted toward lilac or amethyst.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our tips
How much food coloring is needed for a pastel shade?
A small amount on a toothpick per 500 g of fondant or buttercream is generally enough for a pastel shade; gradually add more to intensify it.
Is this gel food coloring suitable for chocolate?
No, this gel is formulated for water-based or emulsified fat-based mixtures (fondant, icing, cream). For chocolate, use an oil-based food coloring.
How can I make a bluer or pinker purple?
Add a small amount of royal blue to shift it toward amethyst, or a small amount of pink for a warmer purple.
