Your questions, our advice
Is this orange fat-soluble food coloring suitable for couverture chocolate?
Yes, that is precisely the main use of a fat-soluble food coloring: it disperses in fats such as chocolate, cocoa butter, or ganache, unlike a water-soluble food coloring.
Can this orange food coloring be used in an aqueous preparation such as a water-based icing?
A fat-soluble food coloring is not designed for aqueous preparations: it does not disperse properly in water and leaves visible granules; for these uses, a water-soluble food coloring is more suitable.
Does orange food coloring require a warning about children on the label?
As the supplier does not provide detailed information about the composition of this format, check the ingredient list on the label you receive: colorings in this shade family are often subject to a regulatory warning about children's activity and attention when they contain certain synthetic colorants.
