How do I make the glitter stick to the cake?
Sprinkle it over a surface that is still slightly sticky: freshly made buttercream, unset icing, or wet royal icing. On a dry surface, a light coating of neutral glaze or syrup applied with a brush is enough to make it stick.
Can I apply it well in advance to whipped cream?
It is made with cornstarch: prolonged contact with moisture will soften it and dull its sparkle. When using it on whipped cream or chantilly cream, add it at the last moment before serving.
