What is the difference between the 6- and 12-cavity models?
The number of mini hearts produced per batch: 6 cavities for larger pieces, and 12 cavities for smaller, more numerous petit fours.
How long should mini cakes bake in this mold?
Allow for a shorter baking time than with a standard mold, generally 15 to 20 minutes depending on the recipe: the small cavities bake more quickly.
Can this mold be used for financiers?
Yes, the heart shape works just as well with financier batter as with classic cake batter, provided the mold is thoroughly greased.
