Pavoni black liquid water-soluble food coloring, in a 190 g bottle, is designed for water-based preparations: icings, creams, entremets, and sugar paste. Its high pigment concentration produces an intense, long-lasting black when used with an airbrush, brush, or added directly. This coloring is not suitable for chocolate or fat-based preparations.

No. This water-soluble coloring is intended for water-based preparations only. For chocolate or fat, a fat-soluble coloring is required.
What dosage should be used for a deep black?
The recommended maximum dosage is 4.32 g/kg of finished product. As this coloring is highly concentrated, a small amount is generally enough to achieve an intense black.
Can this black be used to darken other shades?
Yes, a small amount of this black can darken Pavoni brown or red to create deeper tones. Add gradually to maintain control over the shade.
