What is the difference from covering fondant?
Flower paste is firmer and dries faster: it is designed to be rolled out very thinly while retaining its shape. Covering fondant remains more pliable and is used to cover a cake.
How do you soften it before use?
Knead it briefly between your hands to warm and soften it before rolling it out with a rolling pin or pasta machine to a thin thickness.
Can it be mounted on floral wire?
Yes, that is its primary use. Mount the petals on stems with a gauge suited to the flower's size: thin gauges for small petals and thicker ones for supporting stems, then let them air-dry before assembly.
